Title: The Report Card By. Andrew Clements
\Genre: Children's novel Reviewed by GLPS Student Song Hayoung
What's the basic story line?
The whole story is mainly about the life of Nora Rowley. Since a young age, Nora has been secretly hiding her extraordinary intelligence from her parents and teachers, for example, she was able to read and talk when she was 2 years old, but she didn't in front of other peopple. And she's still trying her best to do badly in school to prove to herself as 'NOTHING MORE THAN AVERAGE'. She shows in concern over it and gets grounded by her parents. She went to the school library an accidentally exposes herself and is forced to tell the truth to the librarian, Mrs.Byrne, who is facinated by her intelligence. Then, she meets Dr.Trindler, who gives her an IQ test, on which she receives a score of 188. Nora's parents and teachers ask Nora to promote to middle school so she could get higher education, but Nora refuses it because she just wants to be normal.
Are the characters believable?
Nora's parents and teachers are, but Nora is not, because I just can't understand her. If I were her, I would promote to middle school and get higher education. I would want to be better than someone else same age as me. I think Nora is very dumb, to think that staying normal is better.
On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being best), how would you rate this book?
I would rate this book an 9, because it was very fun. I very appriciate the author of this book, Andrew Clements. I liked the idea of a genius girl acting normal. The story is exciting. It also gave me lot of lessons that we shouldn't judge a person by what they did, because like Nora, the person can be totally different inside. You should really really really see this book! You won't regret!

My last elementary school trip
2011 one day, I was thrilled for the last elementary school trip. Our school 6th grade went to Gyeongju.
Students and Teachers met on 8 o'clock in their classes. 8:30, The students came out to the school basketball court and lined up by the other classes. 8;40, After all classes wer lined up, Principal of our school stood in front of us and told us to have a good time, since it is the last elementary school retreat. After the speech the principal gave to us, we walked to the school door, then down the hill, then crossed the road, then we finally reached our class bus which was written "6" on the window. Then we were on our ways to Seoul Station. By the way to Seoul Station, I saw many buildings, markets, and restaurants very used to, because my Grandmother's house is near the Seoul Statiion. Seoul Station was also used to me too.
We finally arrived at Seoul Station. To ride KTX, we rode the escalator and went to the second floor. We waited for KTX to come. While wating, I was very excited because the latest time I road a train is when I was 8 years old! Finally, KTX arrived and we walked inside it very carefully. Wow, IT WAS GREAAAAT!
A lot of things changed in 5years, I thought. I had fun with my friends inside KTX. After about 2~3 hours, a voice came out of a speaker that this train arrives at Gyeongju soon. We got out of the train and rode the bus again. Before we go to the dormitory, we saw many cultural assests of Korea there. We had a great time for 3 days in Gyeongju.

An ode to SK Wyverns
They hit and run
It's all homerun
Other teams get frustrated
They feel defeated
So fun to watch the game
cause' Wyverns always win the game
Wyverns has good teamwork
While other teams have hard work
Their bunt hits are awesome
You definitely need to see some
They run and slide, the base is saven
Your mouth will be wide open
They're also all good looking
That's one of the reason me liking
If they ever quit baseball
I will complain forever to all

My first camp, GLPS
I have never been to a camp before, so this is my first camp. Before coming to GLPS, I worried a lot before coming to this camp. But now it is better.
Second, I was worried about getting along with my friends. I came to this camp alone, so before coming to this camp, I was afraid that Ihave no one to talk with or study with or play with. But luckly, my roommates were all such a fun and we had a good time for a week. Also, my classmates are nice to me too.Third, now it's better because I am now very used to this camp. First time, I was confusing about all of the big Korean houses and their names and where day are located. It was like a maze to go and find the building I need to go.
I hope I do much well in this awesome camp from now on.
First, I was worried about me away from my parents for the first time. I was very scared. My roommates say that they are happy to get away from their parents and wish that they would not call them or visit them. I was very surprised, because it was also their first time at a camp! After I heard what they said, I was told to my self to cheer up.
I hope I do much well in this awesome camp from now on.
